 Answer- Data validation is a feature in MS Excel used to control what a user can enter into a cell. For example, you could use data validation to make sure a value is a number between 1 and 6, make sure a date occurs in the next 30 days, or make sure a text entry is less than 25 characters.

Data validation can simply display a message to a user telling them what is allowed.Data validation can also stop invalid user input.In addition, data validation can be used to present the user with a predefined choice in a dropdown menu.

Answer- In MS Excel filter feature is used to filter out only a desired data from a larger set of data. It will hide all the unwanted data and only the data specified in the filter will be shown. For example - We have a worksheet containing data about employees . Column A contains name and Column B contains Salary. If you want to see how many employees earn less than 10 thousand you can check the values in filter of column B which are less than 10 thousand . The result will be all the employees earning less than 10 thousand.
